Molecular Genetics (11:126:481; offered fall semester only). Prerequisite: grade of C or better in Genetics 01:447:380 (offered in fall, spring and summer semesters)
Molecular Genetics Laboratory (11:126:482; offered spring semester only). Prerequisite: grade of C or better in Molecular Genetics (11:126:482); additional prerequisite: General Microbiology 11:680:390 (offered in fall, sprin, and summer)
Methods in Recombinant DNA Technology (11:126:427; offered fall semester only). Prerequisite: grade of C or better in Molecular Genetics and Molecular Genetics Laboratory
Based on past experience, students doing poorly in prerequisite courses are not capable of comprehending course material. Therefore, any student who does not meet the appropriate grade requirement(s) will be deregistered from the relevant course prior to the start of each semester.
New BS/MBS 4+1 Program in Biotechnology and Genomics - posted April 26, 20104+1 programs are arrangements whereby undergraduates are invited to apply at the end of their junior year for master's degrees and, if admitted, are allowed to take excess credits in their senior year in anticipation of meeting the requirements for the higher degree. For Melanie Spero, Rutgers’ commencement ceremony will be a very different experience than her graduation from tiny East Granby High School, the smallest public secondary school in Connecticut, where she walked with only 52 classmates four years ago.
