Brief Description of this Colloquium

Through the application of sustainability criteria (using Sustainable Development as a point of reference) in the ‘upstream’ procurement process and decision-making of public and private agencies, organizations and corporate entities can both improve environmental performance, while addressing ethics, social regeneration and economic concerns (e.g. the ‘triple bottom-line’). Students will participate in the design, examination and modeling of sustainable procurement programs currently being developed throughout the United States and the UK.
