Brief Description of this Colloquium Exploration of real-world environmental issues using geospatial technologies to guide assessment and decisions. The class usually culminates in a web-based product and a public presentation of the results, potentially to an audience of public, private and academic officials. The applied projects vary each semester. Past projects include an environmental assessment of the Highlands Region of PA, NJ, NY, and CT, and an initial proposal of areas for the acquisition of 1 million acres of open space in New Jersey. |
