The Buy Green and Save Green
2004 Purchasing Conference for New Jersey Local Governments
and School Districts took place on June 11, 2004, at the Busch Campus
Student Center of Rutgers University. The conference goal was to
introduce Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP), or how to
purchase goods and services which benefit the environment, and at
the same time reduce costs.

Walk through the process of instituting EPP and other greening

Design and purchase for new green buildings, or for making an
existing building more green in operations and healthier for the
employees who work in it
Use energy efficient lighting and alternate energy providers
Minimize waste for disposal through buying less wasteful products
