Flowers having papery bracts that are long-lasting when dried. Wide indigenous range.
Large numbers are grown in California, dried, and wires inserted in flower heads. Colors are yellow, orange, purple and white. The best grades are not completely opened, whereas, the poorer grades have open centers.
