Mass Arrangements
Probably the most simple form of Mass Arrangement is the Beehive Centerpiece, seen below. It is the first type of arrangement our students learn to make. There is no center of interest in this arrangement, made of pink standard carnations, white mini carnations, pink daisy pompons, and purple statice.

Until the 20th Century, most of the floral arrangements of the Western
World were comprised of masses of flowers, reminiscent of full Renaissance,
Baroque, and Victorian bouquets.

Instead of placing flowers in an arrangement so that it looks light and airy, flowers may be packed in, very closely. Above iis an example of a mass arrangement in a compote, showing a view from opposite sides of the arrangement. Notice that the arrangement is not symmetrical, and that each view is different Many simple centerpieces are mass arrangements.
