Research Interests

My research program focuses on understanding mechanisms of turfgrass tolerance to environmental stresses, with emphasis on heat and drought stress, at whole-plant, cellular, and molecular levels. Research projects include the following areas:

  1. Water relations and gas exchange
  2. Carbohydrate metabolism
  3. Antioxidant metabolism
  4. Hormonal regulation
  5. Protein identification
  6. Gene identification
  7. Gene transformation.
