Plant Biology and Pathology Emma Lausten Horticultural Endowment

Emma Lausten, who died in 2000, was the donor of a $1,000,000 horticultural endowment to Cook College in 2003. She lived in Mountainside, NJ, in Union County where she maintained a beautiful garden that people in the area would stop by and view. Horticulture was Emma’s passion. Her donation fulfills her desire to benefit graduate and undergraduate students interested in horticulture via scholarships and internships. While Emma Lausten was lost to us, her legacy continues to help our students and provides an inspiration to us all.
